DAR (Rotherham) Ltd is a family run small business employing 3 field service engineers and 2 office staff. Our background in this business started 25 years ago, the original founder of the business became a Service Engineer employed by Italian manufacturer Ariston, in the Sheffield region, moving onto English manufacturer Creda, and finally onto another old established English manufacturer, Servis, gaining experience with all three companies as a field service engineer, responsible for repairs to domestic appliances in customers homes.

These days we operate from an office and our field engineers are linked to an electronic call management system that we use to control their work appointments and van stocks and any daily spare part orders.

We pride ourselves on our service levels and have been recognised by customers of Domestic and General insurance warranties as the best service provider for their annual TEQ award 2009. That is for outstanding quality and service provision within the domestic appliance repair industry. An award we have won in 2001, 2002, 2007, as well as coming 2nd or 3rd in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2008. We think that level of consistency is proof of our very high standards, which we apply to every repair we carry out.

Our engineers have all the skill sets and we are Gas Safe registered with 2 of the team, both engineers have extensive gas cooker experience, 1 engineer is refrigeration system trained and all three are laundry, cooking, refrigeration and dishwasher experienced.

DAR (Rotherham) guarantees all work and spare parts used by its engineers:

Our labour guarantee is 12 months from completion date of the repair.

Our parts guarantee is 12 month from the completed date of the repair.

We strive to use genuine manufacturer spare parts wherever possible, we know that this can increase the initial cost of the spare parts but also know that "pattern" copy parts are not usually the economical answer when it comes to longevity and reliability. In short "you get what you pay for" and we will always advise quality replacement spare parts that will last, thats why we will guarantee them for 12 months.
